Railway Recruitment 2022: Eastern Railway RRC (Railway Recruitment Cell) has invited applications for the recruitment of 2972 Apprentice posts. The application process will start from 11th April 2022. The last date for online application has been fixed as 10 May 2022. Interested candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website of RRCER at rrcer.com. There will be no examination for these apprentice posts. Selection will be done on the basis of merit. This is a golden opportunity for the youth who have passed 8th and 10th class and doing ITI course.
Every year railway gives employment opportunity to the youth through internship. Railways makes the youth doing ITI skilled. During the year-long training, stipend will also be given every month. After the completion of the training, 20 percent reservation will be given to the trained candidates in future Group D recruitment in Railways. In the existing Railway Group D recruitment (1.03 lakh posts) also, apprentice candidates taking training in Railway establishments are being exempted from Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in Group D (Level-1) recruitment. The apprentice youth trained in Railway establishments will be given weightage while preparing the final merit after the CBT is conducted.

Age Limit
Must be minimum 15 and maximum 24 years.
The upper age limit will be relaxable by three years for OBC category, five years for SC/ST category candidates and ten years for physically handicapped.

Selection
This recruitment will be done on the basis of 10th class and ITI marks. A merit will be made on the basis of these marks. Candidates will be selected on the basis of this merit. 50-50 percent weightage will be given to the 10th marks and ITI marks in the merit of the posts for which the qualification of 10th pass has been sought.
Whereas in the posts for which the qualification of 8th pass has been sought, the average marks of 8th and ITI will be taken.
Application Fee – General Category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs.100. Whereas SC, ST and Women candidates do not have to pay any fee.
The employer shall not be bound to offer any employment to any trainee after the completion of training, nor shall the trainee be bound to accept any employment offered by the employer.
