Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister of the country on 01.12.2018. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 6000 per year is transferred to the accounts of the farmers in three equal installments. The scheme has been started with the aim of improving the economic condition of the farmers. Objectives of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

First of all, for the purpose of giving direct income related assistance to the small and marginal farmers of the country, the Central Government has decided to start the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to provide 100% assistance. The scheme will provide a supplementary income to small and marginal farmers for an assured income support for their investment and other needs. This will ensure that their emerging needs are met and especially after the crop rotation, the possible expenditure will be met before the potential income is realized. The money received from the scheme will save the farmer from the clutches of moneylenders and ensure continuity in farming activities. The farmer will be enriched by the scheme to modernize his farming practices.

Definition and identification of eligible families
The eligible families of the country will be small and marginal families consisting of husband, wife and minor children (age less than 18 years), who have jointly owned cultivable land up to two hectares in land records. In the identification of eligible families, the estimated number of land holdings with small and marginal farmers for the year 2018-19 is 13.15 crore. In view of the likely exclusion of high income category families from the eligible category, the number of eligible households would be estimated at 12.50 crore. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be implemented as a 100% centrally funded scheme. Under PM kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, about 25 thousand crores is estimated to be spent on four months installment and 75 thousand crores rupees in the whole year. States and Union Territories will be responsible for the selection of eligible beneficiaries and ensure that ineligible families are not selected and that a family does not get benefits more than once.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Online Registration
Eligible farmer candidates from across the country should pay attention to the following points to apply in the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Registration)

• First of all the applicant has to open the official website of PM Kisan Yojana, pmkisan.gov.in.
• Farmer Corner option will appear on the homepage menu.
• Some new options will be visible under the Farmer Corner option.
• You have to click on New Farmer Registration option.
• You will have to fill Aadhar card, mobile number, state name under the ‘New Farmer Registration’ form on your computer screen.
• After filling all these details, you will have to fill the captcha code and press the Get OTP button.
• After clicking on continue the system will show you the registration status (if you are already registered).
• If you are registering for the first time then you will get the message on the screen ‘Record not found with given details, do you want to register on PM-Kisan portal’.
• On clicking ‘Yes’ option, you will have to fill your details further, fill in the correct details here and save it.
• Please verify the land details and account details entered in the form.

Checking Beneficiary Status of Kisan Samman Nidhi – PM Kisan Status

• First of all open the official website of PM-Kisan, pmkisan.gov.in.
• The Farmer Corner section will be displaying on the homepage menu.
• In the Farmer Corner section, select the Benificary Status option
• Know Benificiary Status form will be displayed on your screen by filling one of Aadhar, Account number and press Get Data button.
• Your beneficiary status will be displayed to you.

Offline Application for PM-Kisan Scheme
To apply offline for the eligible beneficiaries of the Kisan Yojana, pay attention to the points mentioned below –

• In order to make this scheme reach more and more farmers, the Goa government has started the option of applying through offline mode. Farmers who want to apply offline, they should contact their respective Tehsildar / Gram Pradhan / Gram Panchayat Sam According to Dr. Vinod Kumar, Senior Officer of the Department of Posts, all 255 post offices and 300 employees have been included to connect the farmers of Goa.
• To register, the postman will do door-to-door registration offline. So far 10,000 farmers have been registered in Goa. The postal department will register the remaining 11,000 farmers.
• Registration has been done by the postal department by contacting 5,000 farmers.
• If any farmer is unable to apply due to not having a bank savings account, then apply for an account in Indian post.
• Offline application facility is available only in Goa state but it can be extended to other states also.

Edit Adhaar Failure Record’ in PM-Kisan Scheme
If the Aadhaar number of any farmer beneficiary has gone wrong in applying for this scheme and they want to improve it, then they should pay attention to the points mentioned below.

Person ineligible in PM Kisan Yojana
The following categories of beneficiaries of high economic status will not be eligible for benefits under the scheme:

• All Institutional Land Holders

• Farmer families belonging to one or more of the following categories:
  • Former and present holders of constitutional posts
  • Former and present Ministers/Ministers of State and Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha. Former/present members of State Legislative Assemblies/State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Presidents of District Panchayats
  • All serving or Retired officers and employees regular employees of Central or State Public Sector Undertakings and attached offices/autonomous institutions and local bodies under Govt.
  • All supernatural/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is more than Rs.10,000 (Multi Tasking Staff of above category) (Except Class IV/ Group D employees)
  • All persons paying Income Tax in the last assessment year
  • with professional bodies like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants and Architects Register and practice.

Monitoring the implementation of the plan
A Project Management Unit will be set up under the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare for monitoring the scheme. This unit will be placed under a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will be responsible for the implementation of the scheme as well as its wide publicity. Similar monitoring will be arranged at the state and district level also. At the central level, a monitoring committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of the cabinet secretary.

Changes in Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme

• Aadhaar Card Essential: To take advantage of the scheme, it is mandatory to have Aadhar card, otherwise you will not be able to apply for the scheme.
• Jotting Limit:- When PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started, only those farmers who had 2 hectares or 5 acres cultivable were brought under it. There are land. Now these limits have been removed by the Central Government.
• Status Knowing Facility:- When you can know the status of your application under PM Samman Nidhi Yojana. For this, you only need to have Aadhar card, mobile number or bank account. Had to spin.
