In a statement, the ministry said that the Sainik School Society (SSS) is in the process of developing an automated system for e-counselling, moving towards the government target of setting up hundred new Sainik Schools. The ministry said that the e-counseling system will be less costly and easy to use for all stakeholders – schools and students.
The ministry said this would be applicable to the new schools being set up as part of the government’s vision to provide students across the country with an opportunity to follow the Sainik School curriculum as well as move forward in line with the National Education Policy. It added that this automated system for e-counselling would ensure complete transparency in the admission process.
The ministry said that the students will have to register and verify their details through the link given on the web portal “http://www.sainikschool.ncog.gov.in” www.sainikschool.ncog.gov.in. Students will have to select 10 schools for allotment. Thereafter, the allotment of schools to the students on the basis of their rank and choice of schools will be done by the system and the result will be declared on the e-counselling portal.
